Practicing The Way

Practicing The Way

Practicing the Way offers you a fresh look at how to be with Jesus, become like Him and do as He Did. It features eight sessions of teaching, guided conversation, and spiritual exercises designed to lay a foundation for lifelong apprenticeship to Jesus.

We've had our introductory session last week, but it is not too late to sign up! We start with the actual content this coming Thursday 6th August. Whether you've just become a Christian, or are simply yearning for more depth and meaning in your faith, this is for you!

Community Engagement Thanks!

Many thanks to those who are contributing monthly to baskets of kitchen and laundry items to be distributed by Mother Hubbard's Cupboard to those who are relocating after experiencing  either domestic violence or homelessness. Your gift will be gratefully received by someone who really needs it. Thank you! For contributors, items can be brought any Sunday but will be put together at the end of each month, so please bring your contribution in to Heather by the 4th Sunday of each month.

Thank you also to those who contributed items to the appeal during July for Turning Point. We have  a generous basket of pantry items, soap, gloves, beanies and a couple of blankets to donate to Turning Point. Again, these donations will meet real needs of people in our community. Bless all who were able to contribute and thanks to others who have ongoing connections to Turning Point and contribute to them separately to the CVC appeal. It is good to share our blessing with others in need.

Your prayers for the ministries of Mother Hubbard's Cupboard, Turning Point as they serve, and for those doing it tough would be a blessing. Thanks to all.

Heather Loomes
