Welcome to CV Connect #11 of 2025Helping you better connect with Camden Valley Church
Hello everyone. This fortnight's newsletter announces a new staff member and celebrates some of our activities in July.
Church Council announced last Sunday that an Associate Pastor role at our church has been filled by Amanda Fitzgerald. Amanda is an experienced pastor, school chaplain and pastoral carer. She has led multicultural congregations, started a Bible Training School, developed leaders, trained volunteers, run programs, presents formal training programs and more. Following the lack of success in finding a Children's Pastor, Amanda's name was given to Council and after looking into her background they saw the possibility of a much broader role that would fit with the vision of the Church. Her 3-day a week role includes multiple responsibilities, starting with leading the all important and ever growing Kids Ministry. Here she will develop leaders and systems for the running of this ministry. She will also be looking to raise up a future leader of the Kids Ministry. She will also look, with Jeremy, at systems and processes that could be used in other areas of the church as well as the development of leaders for these other areas. Last, but not least, she will preach several times a year. Both Council and Amanda (after considered prayer), believe she has been led by the Spirit to this position. And if the name sounds familiar, you're right - Amanda spoke at church this year on Mothers Day and at last year's as well. Amanda will start her new role with us on Sunday September 7, Fathers Day.
Our Alpha course has had 4 meetings so far, covering such topics as 'Who is Jesus?' and 'Why did Jesus die?'. Please keep the participants and organizers in your prayers. Its never too late join us. We have another 1 Minute Sermon from Jeremy and a quick newsletter survey. And we have photos of Sue's Honouring Service from Tiffany and some photos of activities by CV's TAG group.

Jesus Loves Without Conditions
But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us. Romans 5:8 Jesus doesn’t love us because we’re perfect, He loves us because we’re His. His love isn’t based on what we do right or how many times we fall short. He sees our mess, our flaws, and our struggles, and still chooses us every time. That kind of love doesn’t make sense by the world’s standards, but that’s what makes it so powerful. When we truly understand that Jesus loves us no matter what, we stop striving to earn His love and start living in the freedom of His grace. |

Daily Bible Study
The suggested Daily Bible Study for 2025 is from Got Questions. This is available as an app for Apple and Android phones and also as a website. Follow the link below to learn more and see some sample questions and answers.
Also, you may have heard several people refer to 'Lectio' over the past few months. Lectio 365 is a free app (Apple and Android) that is a daily devotional to help you pause in the presence of God. It is written (and vocalised) by leaders of the 24-7 Prayer movement. Their website is https://www.24-7prayer.com. With Lectio 365 you pray the Bible by meditating on the scriptures and asking God to speak through them. For more infomation visit:
