As the winter chill fades, we embrace the beautiful warmth of spring and the reminder of God’s power to renew.
This month, we encourage you to open your heart to the fresh growth, joy, and new beginnings God is preparing for you. We invite you to join with King David in Psalm 51, as he prays: “Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within me.”.

Father's Day
Father's Day is coming up this Sunday. We are putting on a special breakfast before the service to celebrate the dads and father figures in our community. Come and join us between 9-9:45am, all are welcome. 

Staffing Update
Michael Widderich's role has recently expanded to 3 days a week, with the addition of coordinating pastoral care alongside his previous admin tasks. Please feel free to reach out to him directly or through emailing mwidderich@cvchurch.org.au if you or anyone else you know is in need.

Reminder to Families
We encourage parents to keep their children seated with them as much as possible during worship. Our heart behind this is to gradually help our children experience and participate in the main service alongside the whole church community. You can bring quiet items (books, puzzles, snacks) to support your children with this. Just to reiterate though that our focus is on inclusion, not behaviour assessment - we embrace that children can be loud at times. We will also shift the announcement slot to right after worship, so that parents are aware of important information before taking their children to the kids programs. 

Following on from last month's thoughts about dating, our senior pastor Jeremy continues to explore contemporary dilemmas many Christians face when looking for a partner. 

One Last Girls' Night Before the Year Ends

Before the year gets swept up in Christmas celebrations and end-of-year busyness, join us for one final women's gathering. It's going to be a relaxed evening of connection, encouragement and honest conversation.

Whether you've had a year full of victories, challenges, or a bit of both, we'd love for you to come along. Bring a friend, grab a cuppa and let's finish the year encouraged together.

This is a young adult's event run by our local mission partner - Ellel Ministries.
Are you a young adult (18-30 years) hungry for more of God? Redefined will help you discover how to hear His voice and carry you to a place of deeper connection. Through dynamic teaching, and space to worship and seek Him, you will discover a life transformed by daily encounters with God.

If you have enjoyed our recent Meat Appreciation Night and want to go deeper, this event is for you! This is another quality event run by Ellel Ministies. They will unpack what is missing in the contemporary masculine journey and how men can follow a Biblical pathway to mature into wholeheartedness.

You get some breathing space by unplugging from the outside world and slowing life right down to a pace where God can meet you, re-vitalise you and enable you to connect authentically with other like-hearted brothers seeking the same.

Guest Speaker at CVC on Sunday 13th September:
Greg Hewson, Australian Program Director of Tearfund Australia, will present an encouraging, Bible-based sermon on hope, creation care and Tearfund Australia's international partners' inspiring and transformative work. Prepare to be encouraged and inspired!

Share the Dignity:
The Camden Quilters Guild have extended an invitation for our church to partner with them in a donation drive for toiletries and period care items. 

Operation Christmas Child:
CVC will be engaging in Samaritan's Purse Operation Christmas Child project again this year and we would ask you to consider getting involved.

Praise Points

• We are grateful for a wonderful Meat Appreciation Night on the Chamberlain's estate. About 45 men enjoyed a delicious assortment of slow cooked meats, while being inspired by Graham Blok's talk about mental health.

• There are also 20 participants, many from other churches, who are 'Practicing the Way' of Jesus together. Each week, it is beautiful to hear how everybody is encountering God and feeling moved in new ways.

• Please thank God for the Community Engagement team as they oversee CVC's Community Engagement.

Prayer Points

• For our Year 12 Students who have finished Trials and are about to have their HSC Exams.

• That God will comfort the recipients of Kitchen and Laundry baskets and bless their future.

• For the visit by Community Engagement Team - Jeremy, Renae Howard, Michael Stapleton, Michelle Toms and Heather Loomes as we visit the Macarthur Indigenous Church (MIC) on Sunday 20th September.

• That a Community Sponsorship (Council grant) application just submitted to Camden Council will be successful. We applied for in-kind sponsorship for use of the Civic Centre for next year's Australia Day Community Prayer Service.

• For peace amid recent political changes, relief from severe flash floods, and strength for local communities in Nepal and Tibet.
