Thank you to all who have filled one or more shoeboxes, who have ordered one online, donated towards transport costs to get the boxes to the right child across the ocean, prayed, or will volunteer at a shoebox checking session shortly. All of those contributions are necessary to make Samaritan's Purse Operation Christmas Child successful.
Please continue to pray that the gifts will be well received by each child and that the gifts will be a clear message to each child that God loves them. Please also pray for local churches who will lead discipleship sessions as a follow-up and pray that God opens the hearts for any children who choose to attend, so they can respond to His love.
Samaritan's Purse will be hosting an online Global Prayer event for Operation Christmas Child on Monday 2nd November at 10am if you are free to join. It will be led by young people across the world. Details here.
Thanks again for your contributions for 2026. It was wonderful to have substantial contributions from Young Adults and Kids Church. It is exciting to report that CVC will bless more than 60 children with gifts this year!! Wonderful!!
A thought for 2027 shoebox prep:
Some of our most experienced and generous contributors to Operation Christmas Child Shoeboxes look for bargains across the year and build their shoeboxes over time. That's a good way to save on the cost of each shoebox and spread out the joy of filling one for a special child. I have a few spare empty shoeboxes if you would like to have some now in readiness for next year - please ask me.
Heather, and the team.
