Next Monday (15th April), our Daily Bible Study, Foundations 260, will be up to Day 71 ( 1 Samuel 1:1 - 2:36), part of the story of Hannah and her son Samuel .

CV Church is planning to host a 9 week series on the End Times. It will be delivered by Zoom on a Wednesday evening 8-9pm, an interactive teaching series with a guest speaker, Pastor Jeremy Griffiths, a former Principal of Commonwealth Bible College.

The plan is to have an in-depth look at 9 passages of scripture that have an eschatological theme.

You can gather in homes together or do it on your own.

The fee is $100 per family to offset the costs of hosting Jeremy Griffiths.

The 9 Lessons comprise:

1. “Get Ready” Parable of the 10 virgins

2. ”Get Busy” Parable of the talents

3. “Signs of the Times” connecting Matt 24, Mark 13, Luke 21, Revelation 6

4. “Where does Israel fit in? Matt. 23:37-39

5. “What is the role of the Church in the End Times?” Parable of the Workers Matt.20

6. “Top Secret “ the time of his return

7. “Rapture Return Resurrection “ 1 Thess. 4

8. “Judgment Time” Parable of the Sheep and the Goats”

9. Heaven

Please consider donating your no longer used family items to the Toddlers program for the littlest members of our church to enjoy. 

We are looking for cleaned age appropriate resources such as:  

Mobilo, Jumblo 
Animal/ figurines 
Puzzles, books
Balls, Cars
Craft resources- glue sticks, safe scissors, paper, crayons. 

A labeled container will be placed by the Welcoming hub for collection.

Do you know something about water baptism but have questions that haven't been answered? What's it all about?, What goes on during the baptism? It is for you? 

We have a discussion paper that can help you with some of these questions.

As part of the responsible governance of our church we maintain a register of people who work and volunteer in various aspects of church life. Part of this register is the status of a person's Working With Children Check.

Camden Council is calling on residents and business owners to share their experiences to help identify where measures might best be implemented to reduce the risk of flooding in the catchment and to assist with emergency management.

People with experience of flooding in the Nepean River catchment or who know others that were impacted by recent flooding events are invited to share photos, records and recollections by completing the survey online and uploading flood photos and videos by April 15 (recently extended from April 8) at www.yourvoice.camden.nsw.gov.au/floodplain-management

• Healing and recovery for congregation members sick or recovering from surgery.
• The preparations for and participation in the Sign of the Time teaching series. 
• Warring parties around our world particularly in the Ukraine and Gaza.
  In the Ukraine pray for the more than 10 million people that have been uprooted from their homes.
  In Gaza pray for those providing aid, the possibility of a cease fire and for those working for a long term peace solution. 
• Steve and Natalie Hutchings and family as they furlough back in Australia.
• Australia's aid contributions to our neighboring countries.
• Those preparing for the Alpha course in Term 3 and for those who will be invited to participate. 
• The people and agencies around the world responding to humanitarian crises.
• Albert and Lynne Castelijn as they continue their ministry to the Banwaon people.
• Wisdom and guidance for our church and our leaders and also for our State and Federal leaders.

CV Church, in partnership with Exploring Tree, is planning to host the Alpha program.

The Alpha course is an evangelistic course which seeks to introduce the basics of the Christian faith through a series of talks and discussions. It is described by its organisers as "an opportunity to explore the meaning of life".

The course will be run in third term on Sunday evenings 5pm, at Exploring Tree Macarthur.

The evening is designed around a dinner meal, video and discussion.

A childminding program will be available and the youth Alpha series of videos will be run as well.
