Welcome to CV Connect #1 of 2026Helping you better connect with Camden Valley Church Hello everyone and welcome to 2026
Our Community Prayer Service is on next Monday, Australia Day. We are leading the service and would love to see you there.
See below for more details. Our theme for this year is "Devoted to Fellowship". There will be a number sermons and events that will allow us to explore the various aspects of fellowship and how you can participate in it. The first 1 minute Sermon for the year, inspired by Dr Martin Luther King Jr, is below. Next month is February Finance Month where Church Council will give some updates on how our finances are tracking and how they are being used. Our Teaching Service, our first service at 8 to 9am, is restarting again this year on the 1st of February. The first series will be on "Characters of the Old Testament". See below for more details. Our Family Service is still at 10am. You are welcome at either or both services. Also Sunday Feb 1 and 8 is Signup Sunday where we will share some of the needs in our church and give you the opportunity to sign-up to assist in areas that you are willing and led.

8am ServiceCharacters of The Old Testament Last year we trialled an 8am service, looking at all things end times. This year we are going to continue to offer an interactive teaching service, and we will be looking at some of the significant Old Testament characters. Beginning with Adam and Eve, and including Noah, Moses, David……11 characters in total. We will be looking at the call of God, their strengths and weaknesses and their role in Gods story. You are warmly invited to join us. We start on February 1st, 8-9am in the school library. Hardcopy notes will be provided each week and the sessions will be recorded and posted on our website. |

Life’s most urgent question
What are you doing for others? I love this quote from Dr. Martin Luther King JR. Over many years now I have done my best to live in such a way that benefits others. Sowing seeds that benefit others is a very rich and rewarding way to live. Everything is seed, and seed needs to be sown, and in good soil. The Bible says, Galatians 6:7, Do not be deceived: God can not be mocked A man reaps what he sows. Many years ago Beth ran a home delivery fruit and vegetable business, with the left over she would give it away, sow it, and still today people give her fruit and vegetables, unsolicited, she receives what she sowed many years ago. It is a universal principle, a biblical principle. |
