Alpha Alpha Alpha - the course will be starting in a few weeks, so how could you be involved and who might you invite?

Then in several weeks we will be sending Steve, Nat and family off again.

Don't forget our MAN night in a months time.

Also consider how you can support Turning Point's Winter Appeal for those in need in our coummunity.

Next Monday (8th July), our Daily Bible Study, Foundations 260, will be up to Day 136. We start on Monday with Ester 5:1 - 7:10. 

Its been 10 years since we sent them out last and we are doing it again on the 21st.

Come show your support for Steve, Nat, Elyse, Owen and Daniel.

CV Church, in partnership with Exploring Tree Macarthur, is hosting the Alpha course commencing on August 4th from 5pm -7pm for 9 Sunday nights (except for Father’s Day, September 1st).

We are hoping for people to partner with us and volunteer in the following ways:

• Hospitality, preparation of meals, families donating a meal or 2 over the 8 sessions,
• Host a table and facilitate discussion after the video,
• Invite and bring unsaved friends,
• Pack up and set up of the venue.

A big thank you to those who have completed the Community Engagement Survey.

If you have not yet done it, we would like to hear how you are already engaged in our community, your thoughts on any local needs that are not being met and your preferences on acts of kindness to include in CVC’s annual calendar. 

So It would be a great help if you could fill out the short survey on-line via the link below, or ask Heather Loomes if you need a paper survey. We want to hear from everyone!

Praise God for

• Those who work for, volunteer with, or donate to local support agencies including Turning Point, Mother Hubbard's Cupboard, Big Yellow Umbrella and Shining Stars Foundation.
• The global Church and our church
• Our town.
• Our leaders at CVC - Jeremy, Cam, Sue, our Church Councillors, our worship team and all who have voluntary roles as they build us up in Christ and build our CVC community and its ministries. 

Pray for

• The Lord's guidance for Steve, Nat and family as they prepare to return to the village and the factors that need to be taken into account deciding when to return  - the kids educational needs, visa renewal, and the impact on their co-workers. Also leaving Steve's parents as his father is recovering from major surgery.
• Those facing hard economic times particularly as winter hits and heating costs escalate.
• Survivors of domestic violence using a prayer from Common Grace here.
• Warring parties around our world particularly in Ukraine and Gaza.
• Healing and recovery for congregation members who are sick or recovering from illness.
• Albert and Lynne Castelijn as they work back in their tribe.

Our friends at Turning Point are asking for support for their Winter Appeal which aids marginalised people - living between houses, staying with friends or family short term, or in their car.

They are asking for donations of new socks for men, women and children, new fleece blankets, hand knitted blankets, scarves, beanies and toiletries (e.g. shampoo, conditioner, roll-on deodorant (plastic only) and wet ones).

They are always in need of non-perishable food items for their crisis pantry and gift cards from Woolworths or Coles to the value of $20.

Donations can be dropped off during their operating hours Wednesday, Thursday and Friday 10-2 or left on the front porch anytime.

A basket will also be provided at church for the month of July to enable donations of any size to be collected and they will be dropped off to Turning point on your behalf.
