Carols Service - Sunday Dec 22 @ 10am.
Christmas Day Service -  Wednesday Dec 25 @ 9am.
Big Day In - Sunday Dec 29 @10am, Curry Reserve.

This week we present our final 2 reports from the 2024 AGM - Youth and Seniors. You can still read the others on the AGM webpage.

The Useful Gift Shop is open at Sunday services so you can purchase gifts that truly make an impact and help tackle poverty.

Our Carols Service on the 22nd is going to be an inspiring event - we have a locally renowned choir leading our singing and we will be learning more of the work of the Sisters of Mary. Dont forget to bring a donation for the Sisters work or use our card reader.

To finish off 2024, on Sunday Dec 29, we will be having a Big Day In picnic at Curry Reserve from 10am where the kids can have some water fun while the adults can sit and relax and reflect on 2024.

Staff contact details and Ways to Give to our church.

Daily Bible Study - Foundations 260
Next Monday (9th December) is Day 246, 1 Timothy 1:1 - 3:16.

Community Engagement

This week Jeremy and Heather visited the Evangelical Sisters of Mary at their beautiful property at Theresa Park.
Pictured with Jeremy below are Sister in Charge, Sister Elpida and Sister Anaya.

The Sisters of Mary will be visiting CVC on 22nd December for our Carol's Service and speaking about their work. Their ministry is operated by faith and an appeal for their work will be held on the day. Donations can be made in cash, online (with a reference 'Sisters of Mary') or by tapping on the church card reader.

Thank you in advance for your donations for this community engagement appeal.

Youth and Seniors

Youth

Youth group runs each second and fourth Sunday of the month during the church service. The focus of youth group has been relationship and discipleship, whilst growing our confidence in the knowledge of God.

We have had two social events this year which has encouraged our youth to 'bring a friend'. These events have continued to solidify the relationships in the group.

As per feedback direct from youth members, this perfectly summarises what someone may see if they were to attend the group: "Really cool young people who come to church to learn about God with an absurd amount of snacks!"

Ben

Seniors

Home church, held monthly at Leigh and Sue’s home at Carrington, is attended by 7 seniors where we watch a previous online sermon and sing hymns with the accompaniment of Spotify music. Prayer time is a great time of fellowship.

Morning tea for men is held at Daniels’ home first Friday of each month. We appreciate Jeremy attending and leading a devotional.

Morning tea for ladies is held every second Friday of the month at Carol Guyer’s home.
Visitation to Carol Guyer and Ashley Fisher Sharpe is attended regularly…they do not attend our hall service.
