Missions
I’ve had the honour of serving in the new Mission Coordinator role this year and whilst we are still in the early days of this focussed ministry we’ve seen great things happen already.
Having Nat and Steve with us for a while was such a blessing and as a combined church effort, putting on a great day for them out at Cobbitty and sending them back with more support than they had before, both financially and prayerfully. While that was just before I officially took on the role, it was a great way to start! Thank you to all who helped make that happen. It was very encouraging. I pray we’ve given them more of a voice and a focus in our church.
It also feels great to give more of a voice and support to Albert and Lynne as they are on the other end of their journey but still so appreciative of our support. I’ve learnt a lot more about what they’ve been doing since I started and I hope I’ve been able to share it effectively.
I pray for even bigger things in the year to come as we follow the Spirit’s lead in all he has planned.

Hospitality
The Hospitality Team has run pretty smoothly over the last couple of months.
- The roster has been implemented until mid November, so people have lots of notice prior to their turn.
- We have simplified the process so that there is only one person setting up on a Sunday. It really isn't complicated, and the there is a laminated Run Sheet printed up on the wall to follow.
- A wash up role has been implemented to take the load off the Kitchen Set Up person. Michael Stapleton, Mik Willes and Bridget have been rostered on this.
- I have started asking fresh people to provide Silent Bakers, rather than waiting for people to approach me. This has resulted in some new people being involved who don't have much other involvement.
- Having the kids morning tea as a separate item means that the load of morning tea is falling on the parents. Although it's nice to have a sweet item with a cuppa, there isnt the need to provide the volume that we were doing at the beginning of the year.
- Kids Morning Tea - there are about 12 families on this roster, ensuring that their turn is approx once a month.
- Georgie has been training Sophie Wood and Zoey Toms on coffee. Andy and Lucy Wood has volunteered also. Apart from Georgie who loves being on once a fortnight, there is plenty of people to be on. Georgie has a laminated Run Sheet to show how to set up the machine, making it easy to get started.
- There has been no events this quarter.
- Tiffany has offered to help me with Hospitality. She has plenty of time on her hands, so she can be free to pick up, place orders, and research. This applies to when we have events for church or for women.
Feedback is always welcome. Happy to fix a problem if I know there's an issue.
