Acts 2:42-47 - The Fellowship of the Believers

42 They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer. 43 Everyone was filled with awe at the many wonders and signs performed by the apostles. 44 All the believers were together and had everything in common. 45 They sold property and possessions to give to anyone who had need. 46 Every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts. They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts, 47 praising God and enjoying the favor of all the people. And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved.

Connection is at the heart of a Christian community. Connection to God and others. Faith was never meant to be lived in isolation; God calls people into fellowship, where they can encourage one another, pray together, and grow in God’s word and love.  When we gather with open hearts, we reflect the love of Christ through care, support, forgiveness, and shared hope.

In a connected community, no one has to carry their burdens alone. Through friendship and fellowship, people are reminded that they belong to something greater than themselves. The Bible describes believers as one body in Christ, showing that each person has value and a unique role to play.

Christian connection strengthens faith because it helps people experience God’s love in practical ways. A kind word, a shared prayer, or a simple act of service can remind someone that they are seen and loved. In this way, community becomes a place where faith grows, hope is renewed, and Christ’s love is made visible. Serving together is also a way in which we can connect with others and form friendships.

At CV Church we exist to help people “connect to God and others”, Our vision is “Connecting God and People”

Recently we have increased and added to the opportunitys to connect in small groups outside our Sunday service.

I am hearing that many people are engaging and perhaps others are still looking at the space to see if it can work for them. If you would like to talk more, please reach out to myself, Mandy or Michael - we can assist you.

My encouragement is for each one of us to consider fellowship, connection and how we can best engage with our fellow believers at CV Church.
