2024 Vision Details
Steve and Nat Hutchings and Family

Steve and Nat Hutchings and Family

We warmly welcome the Hutchings family to Camden for our service this Sunday!

Welcome to Steve, Natalie, Elyse Daniel and Owen as they return to Australia for a period of furlough from their ministry to the Wollani people in Indonesia.

As they land on Australian shores, we expect that the Hutchings will be shocked to see the increase in prices of groceries. To welcome them, we are putting together a hamper of groceries, grocery gift cards or cash. If you would like to contribute, please bring a donation of a non-perishable grocery item/s, or grocery gift cards (available at all 3 major grocery retailers) or a donation of cash to the service this Sunday 3rd March and give to Sue Daniels or Heather Loomes.

Thank you in advance - your contribution will be a blessing to the Hutchings!

Easter 2024

Easter 2024

Friday, March 29, 2024

Easter Friday this year will be a special time at our church with Bob Mendelsohn from Jews for Jesus giving us a presentation about the Passover Meal. He will have it laid out on a table and will describe all the items involved, their preparation and what they represent.

Then on Easter Sunday we will be celebrating with an in-depth look at the Lord's Supper with Jeremy.

Prayer

Prayer

Praise God for

  • The Church and our church
  • The new life in our congregation and in the broader community.
  • Our town.
  • The blessed life we have and the marvelous land in which we live.
  • Those around us that support us in many ways , such as friends, family and emergency personnel.

Pray for

  • Healing and recovery for congregation members sick or recovering from surgery.
  • Warring parties around our world particularly in the Ukraine and Gaza. In the Ukraine many displaced families have been severely traumatized by the war.
In Gaza - pray for greater movement toward a ceasefire and for the plans to evacuate civilians in southern Gaza..
  • Steve and Natalie Hutchings and family as they furlough back in Australia.
Also pray for the people they leave behind in the tribe.
  • The water scarcity, drought and conflict in East Africa.
  • Albert and Lynne Castelijn as they continue their ministry to the Banwaon people.
  • Those that print and distribute bibles around the world.
  • The homeless.
  • Financial wisdom and guidance for our church.

Support For Our Missionaries

Support For Our Missionaries

You can support our missionary family, the Hutchings, in many ways - prayer, finances, practical help.

One of the simple and free ways to help is to return your empty cans, bottles and cartons (particulary those with the '10c Refund' labels) to Church and Sue will transform them into 'gold' (or the next best thing, cash).

Thanks to your generosity, over the past 5 years Sue has generated over $9300 for the Hutchings family!

Like everywhere else, prices in the mission field have increased, particulatly the cost of getting people and supplies in and out of remote areas using helicopters (and with kids getting bigger each year the cost is ballooning).

So if you can continue to bring in some of these items (and leave them in the blue crate under the cola - Covered Open Learning Area), we can show our practical support  for Steve, Nat and family and they would be very appreciative.

Note: Be sure to catch up with the Hutchings family when they visit us this Sunday!
