When we care for and act to protect God’s creation, it is one way of loving and worshipping God with all our heart, soul, mind and strength, as Jesus taught us (Mark 12:30).
Our TAG group is ready to help you serve, promote and sustain !
What is TAG ?
(Tearfund Action Group)
CVC TAG was established in September, 2020.
This group exists to:
Serve our local community in God’s name
Promote justice for people globally
Promote sustainability.
Our group meets monthly on the 1st Wednesday from 7.30- 9.30pm.
We research, plan and then take small but significant 'actions' across the year.
Here are some examples of what we have done:
- Cooked meals for Shining Stars Foundation, Narellan several times a year
- Led a workshop for Women at Turning Point Camden showing how to make homemade cleaners
- Helped check shoeboxes packed for Samaritan's Purse Operation Christmas Child
- Encouraged our church to participate in Plastic Free July
- Regularly prepared kitchen and laundry baskets for donation to Mother Hubbard's Cupboard for victims of domestic violence
- Run 'The Useful Gift Shop' at church each December.
