Thanks to all who have participated in Plastic Free July. Here's hoping your new habits will stick. Lyn, Louise and Heather are always happy to chat about ways for each of us to buy, use and throw away less plastic and to clean up the plastic that litters the land and the sea - all year long!

Thanks to those who made donations towards the Turning Point Winter Appeal, either by direct donations to them or via the basket that was at church during July. All donations will be delivered to Turning Point this week.
Thank you for considering others in our wider community.

The Community Engagement Survey results are in - many thanks to those who participated.
All proposed acts of kindness were supported by the majority and will become part of CVC's annual calendar. The appeal for Sister's of Mary, which was to happen at the cancelled Christmas in July event, will now happen in December.
A small team will now be formed to consider ways CVC could meet the needs presented in the survey and also those highlighted in meetings that have been held with other community leaders in Camden.

Alpha in Camden

A safe and honest space to explore life, faith and meaning

CV Church, in partnership with Exploring Tree Macarthur, is hosting the Alpha course commencing on August 4th from 5pm -7pm for 9 Sunday nights (except for Father’s Day, September 1st).

We need people to partner with us and volunteer in the following ways:

Hospitality, preparation of meals, families donating a meal or 2 over the 8 sessions,
Host a table and facilitate discussion after the video,
Invite and bring unsaved friends,
Set up and pack up of the venue.

Those who work for, volunteer with, or donate to local support agencies including Turning Point, Mother Hubbard's Cupboard, Big Yellow Umbrella and Shining Stars Foundation.
The global Church and our church and our town.

Pray for

For Steve and Nat and family, health and energy as they dive into language and culture study, their relationships with the tribal people, keeping unity within their team and growing together in grace, the family unit and growth in knowledge, love and experience with Christ Jesus.
De-escalation of tension in the Middle East.
Healing and recovery for congregation members who are sick or recovering from illness.
Albert and Lynne Castelijn as they work back in their tribe.
